This series was inspired by my housemates and I during the first lockdown in 2020. As young
women with lots of extra time on our hands, we wanted to get creative and capture the journey of adjustment into quarantine life. Inspiration was taken from different eras, like the 1950s, 1980s and the present day. We wanted to take the viewers on a comical, yet realistic journey where they could recognise and identify with each female in the images.
Even though we had never worked together creatively before, the concept for this photoshoot developed really organically in the first few weeks of lockdown. As photographer on this project I also edited and retouched all of the final images. Our makeup artist was Siena Powloski who also styled each set. Emma Saunders was the primary model for the shoot and it was also her dog Wicket that featured in some of the photographs.
